It gives me great pleasure to lead and introduce African Logistics Port Hub Association (ALPHA), the largest business network platform designed to put your business at the heart of the African supply chain market.

ALPHA was founded with the objective of bringing together specialised logistics professionals in Africa along with international partners who are actively involvedin networking, connecting, partnering and developing strong business relationships. It therefore gives me enormous pleasure to launch a port-focused strategic platform that opens doors – connecting you in a targeted way to the people who can maximise your business success in Africa.

Africa is viewed as a continent with massive natural resources. These range from oil and gas to a range of mineral wealth. Today the continent’s infrastructural development continues to expand and international trade across the continent shows impressive growth.

Yet doing business in Africa has often represented a major challenge for multinationals and other businesses operating within the cargo market. Finding a local partner, developing joint ventures and creating new business networks has frequently presented difficulties.
